Ashtanga Primary Series

Ashtanga is a dynamic and traditional style of yoga with a set sequence of asanas (postures) which synchronise breath and movement. The practice is strong, so some level of fitness is necessary, but as with all styles of yoga there are always modifications for each asana and the opportunity to take rest.

If you are looking to evolve your yoga practise by cultivating strength, flexibility and alignment, Ashtanga is for you. Verbal and physical assists will be provided in class to help you learn and grow as a practitioner. Finally, an important element of Ashtanga is community, so there is always the opportunity for a complimentary tea and chat afterwards.

Dynamic Vinyasa flow

Dynamic VInyasa Flow

Vinyasa flow classes allow asanas (postures) to link creatively and gracefully together in synchronisation with the breath, allowing the practise to become a moving meditation.

In these classes we will cultivate the strength to safely explore arm balances, inversions and backbends, all to a great soundtrack.

As with all styles of yoga, there is always opportunity to modify or take rest within your practise and connect lovingly with your mind and body. At the end of class there is always a complimentary tea waiting for you and time for a chat with other yogis.

Yoga for Pregnancy

Yoga for Pregnancy - Tuesday - 1030am - Yinspire Brading

Pregnancy is such a special and magical time, but it can also be exhausting and uncomfortable. During my own pregnancy I practised yoga throughout and found it to be an invaluable tool to ease discomfort, maintain strength and prepare my body for labour. I like to incorporate visualisations and breathing techniques used in hypnobirthing during my classes, which are recommended by the NHS.

Take some time for you and your baby and give yoga for pregnancy a go!
